Specializing In Preventative, Non-Invasive And Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine
Welcome to Change of Heart Cardiology in Sea Girt, New Jersey
No other cardiology practice in Central New Jersey is quite like Change of Heart Cardiology. Our founder Scott R. Eisenberg, DO, FACC has developed a practical program for heart patients that he calls “Proven Total Care” (PTC).
PTC includes the traditional medical treatments you would expect from board-certified cardiologists, such as invasive and non-invasive testing, angioplasty, stents and medical management of heart and vascular disease, heart failure and palpations. However, PTC also explores evidence-based alternative and complementary therapies for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. PTC helps patients learn their heart risk and fight it, rather than waiting for an event to happen.
Dr. Eisenberg holds three sets of credentials to give his patients a broader perspective on heart disease. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease; certified in lipidology (the study of cholesterol analysis) and certified in the exciting field of anti-aging medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. His partner Dr. Robert Kayser, MD, FACC, FSCAI holds board certifications in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography and their associate Dr Peter Hynes, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI is certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology and non-invasive vascular imaging. Together, they are able to offer the broad range of cardiac and vascular expertise you should expect from a full service, state-of-the-art cardiovascular practice.
“This practice has always been oriented to being able to prevent disease, not just treat it,” says Dr. Eisenberg. “Many patients are reluctant to sign up for a lifetime of medication. We help them understand what works and what doesn't. We explore alternatives and integrate proven non-traditional methods where appropriate. For example, with expanded lipid analysis we identify the quality of cholesterol and other hidden markers that predict early disease. I tell my patients ‘I'm a plumber and can unclog the drain, but I'd rather prevent the clog from forming.' My associates feel the same way.”
It's the staff that makes the difference
Dr.'s Eisenberg, Kayser and Hynes have worked hard to put together a team of nurses, technicians and administrative staff who are caring, dedicated people that understand visiting a heart doctor can be a scary endeavor. Our focus is on providing a comprehensive and caring experience to our patients. The Change of Heart Cardiology family will work hard to make any visit or procedure as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Change of Heart Cardiology was the top rated cardiology group in patient satisfaction for June 2013-2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Out of 94 cardiologists on staff, Dr. Eisenberg was rated #1, Dr. Kayser was rate #2 and Dr. Hynes was rated #4.
